Hyundai Capital America Is Expanding Its Financial Literacy Program To Atlanta And Dallas

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Capital America (HCA) is proud to announce it is expanding its Financial Futures financial literacy program to Atlanta and Dallas. Financial Futures is an employee volunteer program whereby HCA employees teach basic financial and banking skills to at-risk youth and young adults in the community.

Hyundai Capital America first partnered with Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Orange County to launch the Financial Futures program in Orange County, CA last March. To expand the program, the company has formed partnerships with ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions in Atlanta, GA and Transformance in Dallas, TX—both member agencies of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. HCA will work with both non-profits and their local community partners—including high schools and youth organizations—to help bring early financial education to young people in Atlanta and Dallas.

"We're proud to be able to offer these types of volunteer opportunities to our employees, and we're really proud of our employees for being so generous with their time," said Jim Hazboun who heads HCA's Human Resources department. "This program is a great way for our employees to use their knowledge and talents to promote financial literacy in our communities, and to see the impact they can make first hand."

"Economic challenges negatively impact our Dallas/Ft. Worth area on many levels, and we're excited to have a partner like HCA that shares our passion for providing financial education to positively impact long-term behavior for individuals and families in our community," said Ken Goodgames, President and CEO of Transformance.

"We're thrilled to be working with HCA to help young people across Metro Atlanta increase their financial capability and develop a solid foundation for future success," said Tara Alderete, Director of Education for ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions.

Hyundai Capital America's giving philosophy is centered on volunteerism and providing opportunities for employees to join together to make a difference in our communities. In addition to the Financial Futures program, HCA has three existing internal grant programs designed to empower employees to organize employee-led volunteer events for their cherished causes.

The Financial Futures program compliments Hyundai Capital America's other efforts to promote more awareness around financial wellness and is part of the company's overall commitment to being a responsible lender.
