Hyundai Capital America Becomes Corporate Sponsor of MoMA

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Capital America (HCA), a top-10 U.S. auto finance company that does business as "Hyundai Motor Finance" and "Kia Motors Finance," has entered into a two-year sponsorship agreement with New York City's The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)—the foremost museum of modern art in the world.

With this sponsorship, HCA joins Hyundai Card, its sister company in Korea, as the major supporters of the Collection Exhibitions of MoMA's Architecture and Design Department—the world's first curatorial department dedicated to these disciplines.

As a company that values the power of architecture and design, HCA is proud to support MoMA's efforts to showcase the two disciplines as allied and interdependent arts. Architecture and design play a unique role in defining HCA's company culture. The company's award-winning offices in Irvine, Dallas, and Atlanta—with their open, collaborative spaces, glass offices, abundant light, and symmetrical layout—are an expression of Hyundai Capital's global brand identity and values.

Hyundai Capital America also recognizes the value the arts play in cultivating new ways of thinking, and helping employees find innovative solutions. HCA has several internal programs designed to expand employees' minds and cultural horizons, including its Global Insight Trip and Family Cultural Experience programs. As a MoMA sponsor, HCA is proud to expand on this effort by offering its employees free admission to the Museum to help them experience some of the most innovative art, design, and architecture in the world.

MoMA's newest Architecture and Design Collection Exhibition, This Is for Everyone: Design Experiments for the Common Good, will be the first show opening under the joint sponsorship by Hyundai Card and HCA. The exhibition, on view February 14, 2015 through January 31, 2016, explores the notion of democracy in contemporary design during the digital age. Also made possible with HCA's support is Making Music Modern: Design for Ear and Eye, which examines 20th-century intersections of design, technology, and music. This exhibition will be on view through November 1, 2015.
